About
A romping one-and-a-half hour class designed to teach early primary children fundamental circus skills while also developing essential physical and social skills.
Through games, group and individual work, Circus Arts students develop some of the fundamental circus skills such as trapeze, juggling, mini tramp and handstands. This class is perfect for kids joining circus for the first time, but also develops the skills of those who are moving up from our younger classes.
This class runs for 90 minutes, begins with a group warm up before breaking into groups and moving through different stations led by our experienced trainers. Throughout the term students will be introduced to different apparatus and learn and practice different skills, no week is exactly the same!
Our friendly admin team will be in touch to confirm your enrolment. To secure a position a deposit equal to 25% of the term fees will be due upon enrolment and prior to the commencement of the term. All amounts are inclusive of GST.
What to wear during circus classes for kids:
While Circus Arts is fun and exciting, we take our responsibility of care very seriously. Training can be risky, so we ask families to support our culture of safety by:
- Tying long hair back before class.
- Removing all jewellery.
- Wearing comfy, stretchy clothing that won’t restrict movement eg. shorts/pants/leggings without pockets and a t-shirt. We recommend close-fitting items as baggy clothing can become tangled. Circus Arts t-shirts are available for purchase.
- Wearing runners/sneakers into the building. Sticky socks or bare feet are required for training. Our circus sticky socks are available at the front desk for purchase.
- Bringing a clearly labelled non-glass drink bottle.
Arrive on time! Children 15 minutes late cannot participate, as they will have missed the warm up.
