About

For kids ready to take circus to the next level.

Our Circus Arts Development class is a two-hour weekly session for young people aged 8 and up who are ready to refine their technique, build strength, and push their skills further. Ideal for teens and experienced tweens, this class offers more challenge, more focus, and more opportunities to grow β€” both physically and creatively.

Working with our experienced trainers, students explore advanced skills across a variety of circus disciplines, including:
πŸŽͺ Aerials – trapeze, silks, lyra
πŸŽͺ Manipulation – juggling, hoops, diabolo
πŸŽͺ Balancing – tightwire, rola bola
πŸŽͺ Acrobatics – tumbling, trampoline, group pyramids

In a supportive and encouraging environment, students build strength, flexibility, agility and stamina – while also developing confidence, creative expression, and resilience.

What to expect:
πŸ’« Focused skill development in a fun, welcoming space
πŸ’« A mix of solo and ensemble work
πŸ’« Mentorship from professional circus trainers & senior Fruit Fly students

For passionate young movers who want to go further with circus.

What to Wear and Bring

Safety and comfort help kids do their best. Please support our safety culture by following these guidelines:

  • Hair: Tie long hair back before class.
  • Jewellery: Leave all jewellery at home.
  • Clothing: Wear stretchy, close-fitting clothes (no zips or pockets) like leggings or shorts and a t-shirt. Circus Arts t-shirts are available to purchase.
  • Footwear: Runners into the building; sticky socks or bare feet for training (sticky socks available at reception).
  • Water: Bring a clearly labelled, non-glass water bottle.
  • Punctuality: Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late can’t join the class that day due to missing the warm-up.

Thanks for helping us keep circus safe, fun, and focused for everyone!
