CIRCUS CENTRE MELBOURNE
A new cultural landmark from the Flying Fruit Fly Circus
We are thrilled to announce a bold new chapter in the Fruities’ story.
After a competitive public tender process led by the Victorian Government, Flying Fruit Fly Circus has been awarded the head tenancy of the historic 50 Perry Street building in Melbourne – the iconic Circus Oz space – to be reimagined as Circus Centre Melbourne.
Reimagining 50 Perry Street
With two purpose-built studios and multi-purpose spaces, Circus Centre Melbourne will become a vibrant hub for:
- Artistic collaboration and innovation
- Professional training and performance development
- Community programs and graduate opportunities
Positioned next to the Collingwood Yards arts precinct, the Centre secures this important site for our sector’s future and strengthens Victoria’s creative infrastructure.
Expanding Our Reach
This is not a move, it’s an expansion.
Our heart remains in Albury-Wodonga, where our full-time school and public classes will continue. Circus Centre Melbourne allows us to amplify our national vision and extend opportunities for young artists and industry peers alike.
Coming This October
Doors open October 2025. We can’t wait to welcome you to Circus Centre Melbourne – where creativity, community, and circus excellence come together.
