FLYING FRUIT FLY CIRCUS LAUNCHES SUMMER BORDERVILLE FESTIVAL

“Brimming with youthful energy, high spirits and mischievous humour, the Flying Fruit Fly Circus is a potent lesson in dedication and learning while delivering a cornucopia of family fun.”

New York Times

Australia’s National Youth Circus is looking to the summer with the launch of the 2021 program for the biggest ever Borderville Festival.

Borderville will bring the twin cities alive with vibrant circus and cabaret over 15 summer nights. At the heart of the festival is the circus precinct in Albury’s Noreuil Park, dominated by a circus big top with outdoor dining and entertainment. Performances will also be presented at The Cube Wodonga and HotHouse Theatre.

Borderville immerses families in the magic of circus and celebrates our unique circus community, and since the inaugural festival in 2014, has grown into one of our region’s most popular annual events.

Artistic Director, Anni Davey said “Borderville will be a spectacular, colourful and irreverent celebration of circus, showcasing the work of Fruit Fly students and alumni, and some extraordinary new work from some of the finest artists in the country. Featuring fabulous feats, farts and fun! A special offering to our extraordinary community to help explode us out of lockdown inertia. It’ll be a gas!”

CEO, Richard Hull saidBorderville 2021 is all about hope and optimism. It provides performance opportunities for our young artists, employment for creative professionals, and a chance for our community to gather at the end of a challenging year and smile together. We are grateful for the generous assistance we have received from the Australian Government RISE Fund and NSW Government Regional Events Acceleration Fund, and the ongoing support of Albury City and Wodonga councils.”
