Borderville 2021

4 – 18 December 2021

Borderville 2021 is here – it’s big, it’s bold and it’s a whole lot of fun!

Borderville is Albury Wodonga’s annual festival immersing families in the magic of circus, theatre and cabaret. It celebrates the unique circus community that has cemented our place as the regional capital of circus in Australia since 1979. Each year the festival features the young acrobats of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus who call the border home, alongside some of Australia’s most acclaimed performing artists, and 2021 is no different.

This year we are Back in the Big Top Again thanks to support from the NSW and Australian governments, and the Big Top precinct is bigger and more beautiful than ever, on the banks of the Murray River, on beautiful Wiradjuri Country. There are shows for everyone from our youngest circus enthusiasts showcasing their skills in a one-day extravaganza, to an epic ensemble performance from our world class Fruities. Closing out the festival with an unforgettable farty party, we hope the Big Top will be your second home over our 15 summer nights of Borderville.

Beyond the Big Top we are thrilled to join forces with HotHouse Theatre who are presenting the premiere performances of Tale of Two Harpies as part of their Celsius Independent Theatre program.

At the end of another challenging year for our border region, we’re back together, sharing live experiences again over 15 summer nights. Come and celebrate the creativity, skill and resilience of our country’s best emerging and established circus artists.

We hope to see you there!
